About the Role
TEKKYS is looking for an IT Engineer – Trade and Consumer Devices to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing computers, laptops, mobile phones and related electronic devices for both retail and trade customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, gaming devices and related electronic equipment.
• Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Install and configure operating systems, software applications and device settings.
• Carry out virus and malware removal and optimise system performance.
• Perform data transfer, backup and recovery services where required.
• Replace screens, batteries, motherboards and other faulty components.
• Test, inspect and quality check repaired devices before returning them to customers.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers in person, by telephone and by email.
• Respond to technical enquiries and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
• Assist with device refurbishment, trade-in and recycling processes.
• Ensure all repairs and services are completed in accordance with company procedures and customer service standards.
Requirements
• Previous experience repairing computers, laptops, mobile phones or other electronic devices.
• Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised and committed to delivering high-quality work.
