{"id":263,"date":"2026-03-15T12:49:29","date_gmt":"2026-03-15T12:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tekkys.co.uk\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=263"},"modified":"2026-03-15T19:18:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-15T19:18:06","slug":"field-engineer-for-callout","status":"publish","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/tekkys.co.uk\/?awsm_job_openings=field-engineer-for-callout","title":{"rendered":"Field Engineer for Callout"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Employer: TEQSYS LTD T\/A TEKKYS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position: Field Engineer for Callout<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salary: \u00a326,500\/-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>37.5 hours 5 days a week.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location: Rustington BN16 3DA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for someone confident on Computer hardware \/ software \/ application \/ network \/ printer \/ router to undertake swap outs of IT services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to attend field service calls on the hardware \/ software troubleshooting, fault finding, installation, configuration, upgrade and maintenance of computer systems and associated infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Identify hardware and software problems by analyzing symptoms, performing tests, and using diagnostic tools to determine the root cause of issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications. Detect and remove viruses, malware, and other malicious software from infected computers. Install and configure antivirus software to prevent future infections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maintain reports on repair activities and statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Skills and Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should be educated to degree level or hold an equivalent vocational qualification in relevant field, or if not a degree holder, should be able to demonstrate relevant equivalent experience or industry certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Familiarity with hardware components and computer architecture. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve hardware, software, and network problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideal engineer will have experience of quickly and effectively troubleshooting issues involving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Computer hardware \/ software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Printer hardware \/ software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Microsoft \/ Apple desktop and server platforms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Microsoft Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Networking issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Internet Routers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Firewalls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Backup \/ Restore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Must have strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with the team members, end-users and other IT professionals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
