About the Role<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TEKKYS is looking for an IT Engineer \u2013 Trade and Consumer Devices to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing computers, laptops, mobile phones and related electronic devices for both retail and trade customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, gaming devices and related electronic equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Install and configure operating systems, software applications and device settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Carry out virus and malware removal and optimise system performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Perform data transfer, backup and recovery services where required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Replace screens, batteries, motherboards and other faulty components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Test, inspect and quality check repaired devices before returning them to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Provide technical support and assistance to customers in person, by telephone and by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Respond to technical enquiries and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Assist with device refurbishment, trade-in and recycling processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Ensure all repairs and services are completed in accordance with company procedures and customer service standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Requirements<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Previous experience repairing computers, laptops, mobile phones or other electronic devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Good communication and customer service skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Reliable, organised and committed to delivering high-quality work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
